ABOUT NORWALK
Welcome to the Norwalk Community School District where we are focused on our District’s Mission: Growing Learners and Leaders.
Our district is home to approximately 3,500 students and over 500 staff members. The Norwalk CSD is a Marzano High Reliability school district where we believe effective teaching in every classroom happens by fostering a learner-centered environment, relying on the standards and Portrait of a Learner and Leader In Me competencies as a basis for planning and instruction, and using learning results to inform the next instructional steps. #growinglearnersandleaders
The Norwalk Community School District is located just south of Des Moines, Iowa’s capital city in Warren County and includes the communities of Norwalk, Cumming, Spring Hill, portions of Des Moines, West Des Moines and rural Warren County. The district is made up of 5 grade alike buildings:
- Oviatt Elementary (Grades PK-1)
- Orchard Hills Elementary (Grades 2-3)
- Lakewood Elementary (Grades 4-5)
- Norwalk Middle School (Grades 6-8)
- Norwalk High School (Grades 9-12)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Iowa BoEE Professional Administrator License with a PK-12 or PK-8 Endorsement
- Master’s Degree in School Administration
- Valid Evaluator Endorsement or Evaluator License
- Additional graduate work related to areas of responsibility, highly preferred
- A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience

Salary Range $145,000 to $155,000
